Other State Provisions & Exemptions
- At certain intersections, vehicles can have 65,000 lbs on a single axle and 1,650 lbs per inch of width on one wheel for a gross vehicle weight of up to 264,000 lbs; visit Indian DOT for details
- Weight should not exceed 800 lbs per one inch of tire width on a single wheel, and Indiana offers a tolerance of 1.5%
- Vehicles with idle reduction technology can have axle, vehicle, or bridge formula weights of up to 400 lbs over the limit
